Athletic Club stars Nico and Iñaki Williams are pushing back hard against allegations they defrauded a car dealership, calling the claims baseless and vowing to pursue legal action in response.
The brothers are facing legal proceedings initiated by Omnigestion 24 SLU, a vehicle sales company that alleges the players failed to pay for an €80,000 Mercedes AMG E63 after trading in a Mercedes CLA 45. The case is expected to reach court on January 27, 2026.

Despite the looming court date, the Williams brothers have publicly declared their innocence and say the accusations are nothing more than an attempt to smear their reputations and extract money from them. In a firm statement released on Thursday, they said:
“After learning through the media of the possible existence of a complaint against us, and after obtaining information, we can confirm that a complaint has been filed against us based on facts that do not correspond to the truth.”
The pair argue that the complaint not only misrepresents the facts but deliberately manipulates the narrative to apply pressure. They added:
“Furthermore, the complaint filed deliberately conceals and distorts the actual facts that occurred. It is evident that the underlying purpose of this unfounded complaint is to undermine our personal and professional image, seeking to coerce us into making an improper payment.”

Nico and Iñaki remain defiant, calling the entire situation a fabrication aimed at financial extortion. In their statement, they warned of legal repercussions for those involved in making and spreading the accusations:
“Once this entire process is clarified, we will take appropriate action against all those who have falsely accused us and against those who, knowingly false, have used this information to damage our image and honour.”
Despite the serious nature of the claims, the brothers say they are confident in the legal process and maintain they have done nothing wrong.
