Racing Club de Strasbourg Alsace have suspended forward Emmanuel Emegha for their upcoming Ligue 1 fixture away to Toulouse on Saturday, citing a recent breach of club values and internal expectations.
In a statement on Thursday, the club confirmed the disciplinary action, explaining that the decision followed “the player's recent failure to respect the club's values, expectations and rules.” Strasbourg reiterated its commitment to “exemplary conduct and respect for the collective framework.”

French outlet L’Équipe reported that the suspension is linked to comments made by the 22-year-old striker after last weekend’s 2–0 victory over Lille, in which he scored both goals. In a post-match interview, Emegha reportedly suggested that Strasbourg’s earlier defeats to Monaco and Paris Saint-Germain might have been avoided had he been available for those matches.

Emegha, who joined Strasbourg in 2023, has been one of the team’s standout performers this season. His absence against Toulouse will present a selection challenge for manager Liam Rosenior as the club continues its push to move up the Ligue 1 table.
