Juventus have been fined €10,000 by Serie A’s Sports Judge after a small number of supporters failed to observe the minute’s silence during their 2-0 victory over Atalanta on the fifth matchday of the 2026-27 season.
Juventus were sanctioned after a small percentage of supporters in the first tier of the South Stand did not observe the minute’s silence ordered by the Italian Football Federation (FIGC). The sanction was reduced after the club promptly condemned the behaviour and the remainder of the stadium audience expressed their disapproval.
Fiorentina received two separate €5,000 fines. The first was imposed after their supporters directed vulgar chants towards opposing fans, while the club was also fined €6,000 under the principle of strict liability for allegedly causing a delay of approximately five minutes to the start of the second half against Napoli.
Como were fined €5,000 for causing an unjustified delay of approximately four minutes to the start of the first half.
Lazio and Venezia were each fined €5,000 after their supporters threw four plastic bottles into sections occupied by opposing fans. Both sanctions were reduced under Article 29, paragraph 1(b) of the Sporting Justice Code.
Inter were fined twice, receiving a €3,000 punishment after supporters directed an offensive chant at the opposing coach and a further €1,000 fine after a bottle was thrown into the playing area.
Roma were fined €3,000 after supporters threw two firecrackers into the playing area.
The Sports Judge also addressed the use of pyrotechnics by supporters of Bologna, Fiorentina, Inter, Milan, Parma, Roma, Udinese and Venezia. Despite the breaches relating to the introduction and use of firecrackers, smoke bombs and flares, no sanctions were imposed on those clubs in relation to that conduct because the circumstances set out under Article 29 of the Sporting Justice Code were deemed to apply.
On the player disciplinary front, Parma captain Enrico Delprato received a €1,500 fine and a caution for protesting against match officials, with the sanction aggravated because of his status as captain.
Fiorentina goalkeeper David de Gea and Venezia captain Juan Guilherme Nunes Jesus were also each cautioned and fined €1,500 for protesting against match officials, with their sanctions similarly aggravated because they were team captains.
A number of players received cautions for unsporting behaviour towards opponents, including Inter's Manuel Akanji and Alessandro Bastoni, Atalanta's Franck Kessié and Thomas Kristensen, Fiorentina's Franco Mastantuono and Luca Ranieri, Roma's Daniele Ghilardi and Evan Ndicka, and Udinese's Jesper Karlström and Nicolò Zaniolo.
Frosinone's Antonio Raimondo was cautioned for the second time for non-regulatory conduct on the field, while Venezia's Antonio Fernández Casino and Genoa's Alessandro Marcandalli received their first cautions for the same offence.
There was also a sanction for Fiorentina official Fabio Paratici, who was fined €5,000 for repeatedly protesting against a referee's decision in the dressing rooms during half-time.
The disciplinary decisions cover the fifth matchday of Serie A, which saw Bologna and Torino draw 1-1, Fiorentina and Napoli draw 1-1, Juventus beat Atalanta 2-0 and Roma and Inter draw 2-2, among the weekend's fixtures.
