According to reports from Sky Sport Italia, trouble began when objects were thrown by sections of the home support towards Inter fans gathered in a designated area. The incident prompted a response from the visiting side’s ultras, who allegedly pushed through barriers in an effort to confront Genoa supporters, triggering direct confrontations between the two groups.
Law enforcement eventually restored order, allowing the match to proceed under heightened security measures.
