The 2026/27 Premier League season gets underway with all 20 clubs in action across the opening round of fixtures. Alongside the excitement of a new campaign, several teams are already dealing with injury concerns and suspensions.
Arsenal begin their campaign at home against newly promoted Coventry City, with Mikel Arteta potentially having to manage a number of fitness concerns.
William Saliba is listed with a back problem, while Jurrien Timber has a groin injury. Bruno Guimaraes is also carrying a leg issue.
Coventry will be without or have doubts over Haji Wright, who is listed with a quad injury.
Hull City face a tough opening assignment against Manchester United and have a sizeable injury list to contend with.
Charlie Hughes is sidelined with a groin issue, while Eliot Matazo is dealing with an ACL injury. Jack Butland has an arm problem, Cody Drameh has a hamstring injury and Oscar Zambrano and Darko Gyabi are listed with thigh problems.
Joe Gelhardt has an ankle injury and Matty Jacob is dealing with a hip issue.
Manchester United also have several players listed as injured. Benjamin Sesko has a shin problem, Matthijs de Ligt a back issue, Mason Mount a knock and Manuel Ugarte a knee injury.
Everton head into their opener with three injury concerns. James Garner has a groin problem, Christian Norgaard has an unspecified issue and Tim Iroegbunam is dealing with an adductor injury.
Crystal Palace have one player listed as unavailable, with goalkeeper Dean Henderson carrying a knock.
Ipswich Town have two concerns ahead of their meeting with Sunderland. Jack Taylor is listed with a knee injury, while Azor Matusiwa has a muscle problem.

Wilson Odobert is recovering from an ACL injury, Dejan Kulusevski has a knee issue and Pape Matar Sarr has an unspecified problem.
Brighton could have several players unavailable for their opener. Yankuba Minteh and Carlos Baleba have unspecified problems, while Kaoru Mitoma has a hamstring injury. Stefanos Tzimas has a knee problem and Evan Ferguson is dealing with an ankle injury.

Manchester City have just one player listed as injured ahead of their opening match, with Jeremy Doku carrying a calf problem.
Bournemouth have four players on their injury list. Julian Araujo has a thigh injury, Junior Kroupi a foot problem and Amine Adli a calf injury. Veljko Milosavljevic also has an unspecified issue. Bournemouth midfielder Ryan Christie will miss Gameweek 1 with a suspension.
One of the biggest fixtures of Gameweek 1 sees Newcastle United host Liverpool, with both sides carrying injury concerns.
Newcastle have four players listed with unspecified or unresolved problems. Tino Livramento has a thigh injury, while Joelinton, Dan Burn and Lewis Miley are all listed with unknown issues.
Liverpool have five players on their injury list. Curtis Jones has a hip problem, Hugo Ekitike an Achilles injury, Stefan Bajcetic and Jayden Danns hamstring injuries, and Conor Bradley a knee problem.
Fulham start the season with two injury concerns. Tom Cairney and Jonah Kusi-Asare are both listed with knee problems. Wesley Fofana will serve the first game of a two-match suspension for Chelsea, whilst defender Joachim Andersen is also suspended for Gameweek 1.
Chelsea have Jordan Henderson carrying an arm injury and Danny Welbeck dealing with a knock. They will also be without defender Wesley Fofana, who is suspended for Gameweeks 1 and 2.
