Charlotte FC midfielder Ashley Westwood will serve two separate suspensions as Major League Soccer heads into Matchday 25, while a long list of players remain unavailable across the league.
Westwood was suspended for a red card after receiving a second caution and will miss Charlotte's September 9 trip to CF Montréal. He is also suspended for yellow-card accumulation and will subsequently sit out the September 12 away fixture against FC Cincinnati.
Three other players will serve one-match suspensions on September 9. Houston Dynamo midfielder Felipe Andrade is suspended for yellow-card accumulation against Real Salt Lake, while New York Red Bulls midfielder Ronald Donkor will miss the trip to Los Angeles FC. St. Louis CITY midfielder Conrad Wallem is also suspended for yellow-card accumulation when his side travels to the Portland Timbers.
Meanwhile, 44 players have been placed on the caution accumulation warning list and are one booking away from a suspension and/or fine. Among those at risk are Atlanta United's Lucas Hoyos and Cooper Sanchez, Austin's Myrto Uzuni, Cincinnati trio Evander, Obinna Nwobodo and Matt Miazga, and Toronto FC veterans Jonathan Osorio and Walker Zimmerman.
The disciplinary situation comes alongside a significant number of player absences across MLS.
Inter Miami have one of the league's longest injury lists, with Tadeo Allende, Gonzalo Lujan, Santiago Morales, Micael, Sergio Reguilon and Mateo Silvetti all ruled out. New York City FC are also dealing with six unavailable players, including Drew Baiera, Arnau Farnós, Talles Magno, Maxi Moralez, Keaton Parks and Kai Trewin.
San Jose Earthquakes have six players listed as out, including Timo Werner, while Vancouver Whitecaps are without six players, among them Jeevan Badwal, Kenji Cabrera, Belal Halbouni, Kwasi Poku, Ralph Priso and Ranko Veselinović.
Real Salt Lake have four confirmed absences and four additional players listed as questionable. Emeka Eneli, Morgan Guilavogui, Sam Junqua and Stijn Spierings are all awaiting further assessment, while Zach Booth, Griffin Dillon, Justen Glad and Ariath Piol are unavailable.
Portland Timbers will be without Alexander Aravena, Brandon Bye, Jose Caicedo, Zac McGraw and Juan Mosquera, while Los Angeles FC are missing Thomas Hasal, Ryan Porteous and Timothy Tillman, with Eddie Segura questionable.
Elsewhere, Charlotte, Chicago Fire, Columbus Crew, Montréal, Toronto and several other clubs also have multiple players unavailable.
Several clubs have no players listed as unavailable, including FC Cincinnati, Red Bull New York and Philadelphia Union, while Sporting Kansas City and Seattle Sounders are on a bye.
