Italian football’s Sporting Justice system has handed down its latest rulings following the eighth return matchday of the 2025/26 Serie A Enilive season, confirming a fine for AS Roma, a one-match suspension for Andrea Pinamonti, and multiple disciplinary sanctions across the division.
Roma were hit with a €6,000 fine after their supporters directed an offensive chant at the opposing coach during the second half of the 3-3 draw against Juventus. Fans were also found to have thrown a smoke bomb into the field perimeter during the first half.
The sanction was mitigated under the Sporting Justice Code, but the capital club remain the only side formally punished despite widespread pyrotechnic use across the league.

Supporters of Atalanta BC, Cagliari Calcio, Hellas Verona FC, Inter Milan, AC Milan, Parma Calcio 1913, Pisa SC, and Udinese Calcio were all reported for introducing and using flares, smoke bombs and firecrackers within their sections. However, due to mitigating circumstances, no financial penalties were imposed on those clubs.
On the pitch, Sassuolo forward Andrea Pinamonti received a one-match suspension for serious foul play during his side’s 2-1 victory over Atalanta.
Several players also triggered automatic one-game bans after reaching the five-yellow-card threshold. Among them were Bologna midfielder Remo Freuler, Fiorentina defender Fabiano Parisi, Cremonese’s Filippo Terracciano, Parma’s Lautaro Valenti and Roma’s Wesley.
Two coaches were dismissed from the touchline and will serve one-match bans. Bologna’s Stefano Firicano was sent off for openly protesting a refereeing decision, while Genoa’s Emanuele Mancini was punished for directing offensive remarks at an opposing player from the bench.

Elsewhere, Sassuolo boss Fabio Grosso and Atalanta coach Raffaele Palladino were cautioned and are now one booking away from suspension. Napoli manager Antonio Conte also collected his third caution of the campaign.
The disciplinary decisions come after a busy round of fixtures that saw Inter defeat Genoa 2-0, Milan win 2-0 at Cremonese, Napoli edge Hellas Verona 2-1, and Torino claim a 2-0 victory over Lazio. Roma and Juventus shared the spoils in a dramatic six-goal encounter, while Udinese recorded a commanding 3-0 win against Fiorentina.
With suspensions now confirmed and fines issued, several clubs will be forced into changes ahead of the next round as the Serie A title race and European qualification battle continue to intensify.
