The Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) has announced a series of measures to support Spanish football professionals currently based in parts of the Middle East affected by the armed conflict that erupted in recent hours.
In a statement released on Sunday evening, the Federation confirmed that a crisis committee was convened on Saturday afternoon to coordinate assistance for coaches, players, technical staff and other football professionals working and residing in the impacted countries, as well as for their families.
The committee was called by RFEF president Rafael Louzán and brings together representatives from various departments connected to professionals operating in the region. The Federation said it will closely monitor developments and implement necessary measures to ensure the safety and well-being of those who have relocated to the area for professional reasons.

As part of its response, the RFEF has established a dedicated communication channel — internacional@rfef.es — to receive and respond to requests for assistance. The Federation has also contacted Spanish embassies in the affected countries to offer support to any football professionals who may require consular help.
In addition, the RFEF is maintaining ongoing communication with football federations in the states located within the conflict zone, reinforcing its commitment to coordination and cooperation during the crisis.
A number of Spanish football professionals are currently working in Iran and across countries on the Arabian Peninsula. The Federation confirmed it is reaching out to them directly and indirectly to assess their situation and determine what support may be required.
The RFEF stressed that it remains vigilant as the situation develops and stands ready to provide further assistance as needed.
