Major League Soccer’s commercial arm, Soccer United Marketing, has confirmed a new multi-year commercial agreement with Polymarket that will introduce prediction market content into MLS and Leagues Cup fan platforms in the United States.
The deal names Polymarket as the league’s exclusive prediction market partner, covering MLS competitions and showcase events including the MLS All-Star Game, MLS Cup presented by Audi and the Leagues Cup. The move places MLS among a small group of football leagues globally to explore prediction-based data as part of its fan engagement strategy.
As part of the partnership, MLS and Polymarket will collaborate on digital activations designed to complement live broadcasts and second-screen viewing. The focus will be on creating interactive features that reflect aggregated fan opinion during key moments in matches, as well as throughout the season, with the aim of deepening supporter involvement.

Polymarket founder and chief executive Shayne Coplan said the partnership responds to changing fan expectations in the U.S. market, where audiences are increasingly seeking more immersive and interactive ways to follow the sport. He added that the collaboration would offer fans a new perspective on matches and storylines through real-time, data-driven insights.
MLS Deputy Commissioner and Soccer United Marketing president Gary Stevenson described innovation as a cornerstone of the league’s continued growth, noting that the agreement allows MLS to adopt a new engagement format while maintaining its position at the forefront of global football innovation.
The partnership also includes measures intended to safeguard competitive integrity, with independent oversight of trading activity and close coordination on the markets made available.
The announcement comes at a time of rising interest in football across North America. With the FIFA World Cup set to be staged in the region in 2026, MLS and Leagues Cup are capitalising on increased attention by exploring new ways to connect with fans and expand the sport’s reach.
