The UEFA Appeals Body has sanctioned Galatasaray A.Ş. following incidents during their UEFA Champions League fixture against Juventus on 25 February 2026.
The match, which ended in a 3-2 victory for Juventus, was marred by disciplinary breaches attributed to the visiting supporters. According to UEFA, the charges against the Turkish club included the throwing of objects, the lighting of fireworks and crowd disturbances, all in violation of Article 16(2) of the UEFA Disciplinary Regulations.
After reviewing the case, the Appeals Body imposed a €40,000 fine on Galatasaray and ordered the club to ban the sale of tickets to its away supporters for its next UEFA club competition match. The sanction applies to the next European fixture in which Galatasaray would normally be allocated tickets for travelling fans.

UEFA’s regulations hold clubs strictly liable for the conduct of their supporters at European matches, whether played at home or away. The governing body has consistently emphasised its zero-tolerance stance toward pyrotechnics, the throwing of objects and any behaviour that disrupts public order or jeopardises safety inside stadiums.
The decision represents a significant blow for Galatasaray, who will now be without their travelling support for their next continental outing. Away fans have traditionally played a prominent role in the club’s European campaigns, and the absence of that backing could be felt in a crucial stage of the competition.
