Inter have been fined €50,000 and issued with a specific warning after a weekend of incidents involving supporters, as the Serie A Sports Judge published disciplinary decisions following the fourth matchday of the second half of the 2025/26 season.
The ruling, released on 4 February, relates to matches played between 30 January and 3 February. Inter’s sanction stems from the Cremonese–Inter fixture, where supporters threw firecrackers and smoke bombs onto the pitch. One incident early in the second half saw a firecracker explode near an opposing player, briefly stunning him and forcing the referee to suspend the match for around three minutes. While the judge described the episode as particularly serious, mitigating factors were recognised, including Inter’s cooperation in identifying those responsible and the club’s clear dissociation from the behaviour, also demonstrated by players on the field. The warning means harsher sanctions could follow if similar incidents occur again.

Genoa were also fined, receiving a €2,000 penalty for causing an unjustified delay of approximately one minute to the start of their match against Lazio.
Elsewhere, the Sports Judge opted not to impose sanctions on Bologna, Como, Juventus, Lecce, Milan, Pisa, Torino and Udinese, despite their supporters using pyrotechnic material in their respective stadium sectors. The decision was taken after considering mitigating circumstances set out in the sporting justice code.
On the pitch, disciplinary action affected several players across the division. Atalanta’s Honest Ahanor was handed a one-match suspension and fined €5,000 for striking an opponent during the goalless draw away to Como, an incident detected by the fourth official. Hellas Verona forward Amin Sarr will also miss one match after receiving a second booking for unsporting behaviour.

A number of players were suspended for an accumulation of yellow cards, including Atalanta midfielder Marten de Roon, Lazio defender Luca Pellegrini, and Torino pair Matteo Prati and Nikola Vlašić, all of whom reached the five-caution threshold.
Cautions were also widespread, with Genoa’s Ruslan Malinovskyi receiving his eighth booking of the season for dissent, while several players, including Keinan Davis and Jamie Vardy, were placed under warning after reaching four cautions.
The rulings follow a full round of Serie A action that saw Milan win 3–0 away at Bologna, Juventus cruise to a 4–1 victory at Parma, and Napoli edge Fiorentina 2–1 at home, among other results. All fines imposed on clubs and registered individuals will be charged to the league’s championship accounts, Serie A confirmed.
