Fantasy Premier League managers are being urged to factor disciplinary absences into their transfer planning, with several Premier League players either suspended or edging closer to automatic bans due to yellow-card accumulation.
Under The FA’s disciplinary regulations, players who collect five yellow cards within their club’s first 19 league matches receive a one-match suspension. That threshold has now passed. However, players who accumulate 10 yellow cards in Premier League fixtures up to and including their side’s 32nd match will serve a two-match ban in the competition.
Yellow cards accrued in Premier League matches do not carry over into domestic cup competitions. Red cards, however, do apply across the Premier League, FA Cup and EFL Cup, with suspensions spanning all domestic competitions.
Several players will miss upcoming league fixtures due to suspensions:

A number of players are approaching the 10-yellow-card threshold and risk a two-match suspension if they are booked again before their club’s 32nd fixture:
The concentration of Wolves players on eight bookings places the club at particular risk of further suspensions in the coming weeks.
In addition to suspensions, several loan players will be unavailable when their clubs face their parent sides later in the season:
With key fixtures approaching, managers, both in the Premier League and Fantasy Premier League, will need to monitor discipline closely as yellow-card counts continue to rise.
