Liverpool have been handed a mixed injury update as they continue to navigate a demanding period of the season, with several players sidelined while others edge closer to a return.
The most significant setback concerns Conor Bradley, who is expected to miss a lengthy spell after suffering a serious knee injury against Arsenal on January 8. The club confirmed on January 11 that the Northern Ireland international will undergo surgery before beginning rehabilitation, with no clear timeline set for his return.
Jayden Danns is also unavailable, with the young forward not yet back in training as he recovers from a stress fracture. Head coach Arne Slot confirmed the issue was linked to overtraining and ruled Danns out in the short term, saying the teenager is “definitely not available” for the immediate future.
There is more encouraging news regarding Hugo Ekitike, who missed recent Premier League trips to Fulham and Arsenal due to delayed onset muscle soreness. The French forward could return when Liverpool host Barnsley in the FA Cup, although Slot admitted his availability is not yet guaranteed.

Midfielder Wataru Endo remains sidelined with an ankle injury that has kept him out since early December. Slot indicated the Japan international may resume training soon but cautioned that his prolonged absence means a gradual return will be required.
Alexander Isak is facing several months on the sidelines after undergoing surgery on an ankle injury that included a fibula fracture. The striker sustained the injury while scoring against Tottenham Hotspur in December. Slot described the setback as a “big disappointment” but confirmed he expects Isak to feature again before the end of the 2025-26 season.
Defender Giovanni Leoni is continuing his recovery from an anterior cruciate ligament tear suffered on his debut in September. The young centre-back is not expected to play again this season.
Away from injury concerns, Mohamed Salah remains unavailable as he continues his Africa Cup of Nations campaign with Egypt. The forward is set to feature in the semi-finals against Senegal on January 14, with a potential final or third-place play-off to follow.
Liverpool currently have no players serving suspensions as they prepare for their upcoming fixtures.
