Liverpool head into the final stretch of the season with several key injury concerns, while there are currently no suspensions affecting the squad.
Manager Arne Slot confirmed on February 27 that Florian Wirtz will miss Saturday’s clash with West Ham United after suffering a back issue in the warm-up prior to the recent trip to Nottingham Forest.
“I don’t expect Florian to be available so that’s a disappointment,” Slot said. “At this moment of time, no [I don’t have a timeframe in mind for his return]… I honestly don’t know.”
Midfielder Wataru Endo is set for a prolonged absence after being stretchered off during the February 11 win at Sunderland AFC with a foot injury. Slot admitted the club are still unsure of the exact recovery timeline but described it as “long”.
The setback further limits options in midfield during a crucial period of the campaign.
Stefan Bajcetic has yet to feature in the 2025-26 season due to ongoing fitness issues. Slot revealed in late January that the Spaniard has repeatedly come close to returning to training before suffering minor setbacks.
“He constantly gets close to the team and then he has a little setback,” the Liverpool boss explained. “As much as I’d like to have him back, we have to manage the expectations with him as well.”
Having been out of first-team training for several months, the club are expected to ease him back gradually once fully fit.

Defender Conor Bradley is not expected to return this season after sustaining a significant knee injury against Arsenal FC on January 8. The Northern Ireland international underwent surgery shortly afterwards and has begun rehabilitation.
Similarly, young centre-back Giovanni Leoni will miss the remainder of the campaign after tearing his anterior cruciate ligament during his debut against Southampton FC in the Carabao Cup in September. Slot confirmed at the time that the injury would likely sideline him for a year.
Forward Alexander Isak remains sidelined following ankle surgery in December after fracturing his fibula while scoring against Tottenham Hotspur. Slot indicated that a return to group training could come around the March international break, though match readiness would likely take additional time.
“It will be around that period – end of March, start of April – when he’s hopefully back with the group,” Slot said, cautioning that sharpness after a lengthy absence cannot be rushed.
Young striker Jayden Danns is also not currently training due to a previous fitness issue. Slot admitted in January that the forward would have been in the squad if fit, but a return is not imminent.
There are no suspension concerns for Liverpool at present, offering at least some stability as the Reds navigate a testing injury list in the closing months of the season.
