FIFA has appointed Stats Perform as its first-ever official distributor of betting data and betting streaming rights, marking a significant step in the global governance and commercialisation of football data.
Under a landmark multi-year agreement announced on Tuesday, the sports AI and data company will hold exclusive rights to collect and distribute official betting data and live streams for selected FIFA competitions. The deal covers all 104 matches at the expanded FIFA World Cup 2026™, the FIFA Women’s World Cup Brazil 2027™, as well as a wide range of future tournaments including the FIFA Futsal World Cup, FIFA U-20 World Cups and the FIFA Intercontinental Cup through to 2029.
Stats Perform will also secure exclusive betting rights to thousands of matches each season across FIFA Member Association competitions made available via FIFA+, extending the reach of official FIFA data to licensed sportsbooks worldwide.
As part of the agreement, Stats Perform’s RunningBall division will be responsible for collecting and distributing ultrafast official betting data to licensed betting operators. The data will be used for modelling, trading, settlement and in-play betting services. Meanwhile, the company’s Opta brand will provide official player statistics, live scores, match trackers and insights to sportsbooks.

FIFA said the partnership would strengthen control, transparency and monitoring across betting markets, aligning with international best practice. Stats Perform will also act as an official distributor of live FIFA match streams to licensed sportsbooks in selected territories, including exclusive distribution of FIFA World Cup 2026 and Women’s World Cup 2027 streams through its Bet LiveStreams platform.
In addition, Stats Perform’s Integrity team will support FIFA Integrity in monitoring Member Association content on FIFA+ that falls under the scope of the partnership.
FIFA Chief Business Officer Romy Gai welcomed the agreement, describing Stats Perform as a “global leader in sports data” and highlighting the opportunities the partnership would create to deliver official products “for the benefit of the game and its fans”.
Stats Perform chief executive Carl Mergele said the inclusion of FIFA competitions in the company’s portfolio represented a major milestone, adding that the partnership aligned with FIFA’s ambition to expand access to the sport and deepen fan engagement worldwide.
