Player Jorge Aparicio was also sanctioned, receiving a two-match suspension and an undisclosed fine for making what Concacaf described as an inappropriate and offensive gesture during the Final’s awards ceremony.
In addition, the Committee ordered Xelajú MC to return the 2025 Concacaf Central American Cup Fair Play Award, stating that Aparicio’s actions were incompatible with the values and principles the award represents.
Concacaf confirmed that Aparicio’s two-match ban will be served in future editions of Concacaf club competitions in which he is eligible to participate.
