Chelsea have parted ways with head coach Enzo Maresca, bringing an end to his spell at Stamford Bridge as the club looks to revive its season across multiple competitions. Maresca's 18 month term comes to an end having had just the one win in the last seven Premier League games.
The Premier League side confirmed the decision in a brief statement, acknowledging Maresca’s role in delivering silverware during his time in charge. Under the Italian, Chelsea lifted both the UEFA Conference League and the FIFA Club World Cup, achievements the club described as an important part of its recent history.

However, with major objectives still at stake, Chelsea believe a change in leadership is necessary. The club remains in contention across four competitions and is pushing for qualification for next season’s UEFA Champions League, a key target in the months ahead.
The statement suggested the decision was mutually agreed, with both parties concluding that a fresh approach would give the squad the best chance of getting back on track for the remainder of the campaign.
Chelsea thanked Maresca for his contribution and wished him well for the future. No announcement has yet been made regarding an interim or permanent replacement, with further updates expected in due course.
