UEFA’s Appeals Body has handed down a series of sanctions against Ferencvárosi TC following incidents during their UEFA Europa League clash with SC Braga earlier this month.
The decision relates to the Hungarian club’s 2-0 victory over Braga on 12 March 2026, where disciplinary charges were brought against Ferencváros due to the behaviour of their supporters.
As part of the ruling, UEFA has ordered the enforcement of a previously suspended sanction concerning racist conduct. This will result in the partial closure of Sector B2 at Ferencváros’ stadium for their next home match in UEFA competition.

In addition, the club has been fined €20,000 for further instances of racist or discriminatory behaviour by supporters. UEFA also imposed an additional partial stadium closure affecting 500 adjacent seats in sectors C4 and/or C5. However, this particular measure has been suspended for a one-year probationary period and will only be enforced if a similar offence occurs during that time.
Ferencváros has also been fined €11,250 for the lighting of fireworks during the match.
Under UEFA regulations, disciplinary measures issued under probation do not take immediate effect but can be activated if further violations of a similar nature are committed within the specified period.
The sanctions underscore UEFA’s continued crackdown on discriminatory behaviour and crowd misconduct in European competitions.
