Tottenham Hotspur have issued crucial guidance for supporters travelling to Germany for the UEFA Champions League match against Eintracht Frankfurt on Wednesday, 28 January, stressing the importance of safety, flag regulations, and stadium entry and exit procedures.
Avoiding Dangerous Areas in Frankfurt
Supporters are strongly warned not to wear Tottenham apparel in the city outside designated areas and to avoid high-risk districts. O’Reilly’s Irish Pub, opposite Frankfurt Central Station, will be the official gathering point for Spurs fans from midday, offering a secure and police-monitored environment.
For safety reasons, fans must avoid the Sachsenhausen district across the Main River, which is heavily populated with Eintracht supporters. The Gleisdreieck car park near the stadium and the area between O’Reilly’s and Willy Brandt Platz are also off-limits. Tottenham Hotspur emphasises that supporters should travel only with the police escort from O’Reilly’s to the stadium.
Flags and Banners
Tottenham have reminded fans that flags must be pre-approved and comply with strict safety rules. Flags should not exceed 2x1.5m and must have valid fire safety certificates.
Political, religious, sectarian, or otherwise inflammatory flags are strictly prohibited, and flagpoles are not allowed. Tottenham stewards will be on hand to assist, and Eintracht Frankfurt stewards will check all flags before entry.

Stadium Entry and Transport
Fans are advised to arrive at O’Reilly’s before joining a police-escorted train to the stadium, departing around 6–6:30pm local time. The route from the train station to the stadium involves a 15-minute walk through a forested area, which is not suitable for wheelchair users or fans with limited mobility. Alternative arrangements have been made for Disability Access Scheme members.
Post-Match Exit Protocols
Supporters may be held for up to 30 minutes after the final whistle for safety reasons, with toilets and kiosks remaining available during this period. Fans will be escorted back to Frankfurt Central Station via the stadium station, and shuttle services will resume 30–45 minutes after the final whistle due to road congestion. Tottenham urges fans to remain patient and follow all steward and police instructions.
Spurs Respect and Conduct
Tottenham Hotspur stresses the responsibility of fans to act as ambassadors for the Club, respect local customs, and refrain from abusive or discriminatory behaviour. Any incidents should be reported immediately to stewards. The Club also reminds supporters that unauthorised resale or transfer of tickets is strictly prohibited and subject to sanctions.
