Serie A’s sporting authorities have confirmed a series of disciplinary measures following the latest round of fixtures, with Sassuolo forward Domenico Berardi receiving the most severe punishment after an incident in the tunnel at half-time.
Berardi has been handed a two-match suspension and a €10,000 fine after grabbing an opposing player by the neck while attempting to confront another during the break in Sassuolo’s 2-1 defeat to Genoa. The incident occurred off the pitch and required intervention from other players.
Genoa’s Mikael Egill Ellertsson was also punished for his involvement in post-half-time tensions, receiving a one-match ban and a €5,000 fine for forcefully pushing an opponent in the tunnel.

Several other players will miss the next round of matches due to suspension following yellow card accumulation. Among them are Sassuolo’s Josh Doig, Genoa duo Morten Frendrup and Ruslan Malinovskyi, Torino defender Ardian Ismajli, and Inter midfielder Petar Sučić.
AC Milan winger Rafael Leão and Atalanta’s Charles De Ketelaere were both issued cautions with warnings for dissent towards match officials, while a number of players across the league received bookings for unsporting conduct.
Elsewhere, Lazio’s Tijjani Noslin was fined €2,000 and cautioned for simulation after being judged to have dived in the penalty area.

Clubs were also sanctioned following supporter behaviour during the matchday. Cagliari were fined €4,000 for causing a three-minute delay to kick-off, while Bologna and Roma received fines of €3,000 and €2,000 respectively after fans threw pyrotechnic devices onto the pitch. Despite similar incidents involving several other clubs, no additional sanctions were imposed due to mitigating circumstances under league regulations.
The disciplinary rulings follow a dramatic set of results across the matchday, including Juventus’ 1-0 win over Atalanta, Inter’s thrilling 4-3 victory at Como, and Udinese’s shock 3-0 triumph away at Milan.
All fines issued will be charged directly to the respective clubs’ league accounts, Serie A confirmed.
