Several Premier League clubs are set to navigate crucial upcoming fixtures without key players, as suspensions and disciplinary concerns begin to shape team selections heading into the latest round of matches.
Defensive absences are particularly notable, with Wolverhampton Wanderers’ Yerson Mosquera ruled out for both Double Gameweek 33 and Gameweek 34. Lewis Dunk of Brighton & Hove Albion is midway through a two-match suspension, having already served the first. The centre-back will miss Brighton’s upcoming clash with Tottenham Hotspur but is expected to return in time for their second fixture of the double gameweek against Chelsea.

Meanwhile, Harry Maguire is also unavailable, serving a suspension for Manchester United’s Gameweek 32 encounter, further limiting defensive options for his side.
Midfielders across the league are also walking a disciplinary tightrope, with several players just one booking away from a two-match ban. Moisés Caicedo, Bernardo Silva, and Joelinton have each accumulated nine yellow cards this season. Another caution would trigger an automatic suspension, potentially impacting their availability during a pivotal stage of the campaign.

In addition to suspensions, loan regulations will also play a role in upcoming fixtures. Players are prohibited from facing their parent clubs, ruling out several notable names. Jack Grealish, currently on loan at Everton from Manchester City, will be unavailable for their Gameweek 35 meeting. Similarly, Facundo Buonanotte (Leeds United, on loan from Brighton) and Harvey Elliott (Aston Villa, on loan from Liverpool) will miss Gameweek 37 fixtures against their respective parent clubs.
With the season entering a decisive stretch, these suspensions and potential bans could have a significant impact on team performance, squad rotation, and even title or relegation battles. Managers will need to carefully manage player discipline as the stakes continue to rise.
