Liverpool are continuing to manage a growing injury list as they approach a crucial period of the 2025-26 campaign, with several first-team players sidelined and others working their way back to fitness.
Midfielder Wataru Endo is facing a prolonged absence after being stretchered off during the February 11 victory at Sunderland with a foot injury. Head coach Arne Slot confirmed on February 19 that the Japan international “will be out for a long time,” although the exact timeframe for his return remains unclear.
Defender Conor Bradley has been ruled out for the remainder of the season after suffering a significant knee injury against Arsenal on January 8. The Northern Ireland international has undergone surgery and begun rehabilitation, describing the setback as “a big blow” but expressing determination to return stronger.
Forward Alexander Isak is recovering from ankle surgery following a fibula fracture sustained in December. The striker, who was injured while scoring against Tottenham Hotspur, is expected to return to group training around the March international break. Slot cautioned that even once back with the squad, the Sweden international will require time to regain full match sharpness after months on the sidelines.
There is more encouraging news regarding Jeremie Frimpong, who suffered a muscle injury early in the Champions League clash with Qarabag. Slot indicated the right-sided player is unlikely to feature against Nottingham Forest but could return for the following fixture against West Ham United if recovery progresses as planned.

Midfielder Florian Wirtz was withdrawn during the warm-up ahead of the recent trip to Forest due to a back issue. The problem is not believed to be serious, and the German could be available again next week, although the club will continue to monitor his condition carefully.
Young midfielder Stefan Bajčetić has yet to feature this season as he battles a series of setbacks in his recovery. Slot explained that while the Spaniard is edging closer to training with the first team, expectations must be managed given his lengthy time away from competitive action.
Defender Giovanni Leoni is expected to miss the rest of the campaign after suffering an anterior cruciate ligament injury during his debut against Southampton in the Carabao Cup in September. Slot acknowledged the emotional toll on the young defender but stressed his age means he still has many years ahead once fully recovered.
Meanwhile, Jayden Danns remains unavailable as he continues rehabilitation from a prior fitness issue and is not currently training with the squad.
There is some relief for Slot in that no Liverpool players are currently serving suspensions, ensuring that selection decisions will be shaped solely by fitness concerns in the coming weeks.
With key fixtures on the horizon, Liverpool will be hoping for positive progress on several fronts as they look to maintain momentum despite a challenging injury situation.
