Liverpool have provided an updated overview of injuries and player availability in Arne Slot’s men’s squad, with several players facing extended spells on the sidelines as the season progresses.
The most serious blow is the season-ending injury suffered by Conor Bradley. The Northern Ireland international sustained significant knee damage during Liverpool’s clash with Arsenal on January 8 and subsequently underwent surgery. Bradley has now begun his rehabilitation but will not feature again this season. Slot confirmed the news last week, saying: “We've got Conor Bradley out for the season.” Bradley himself described the setback as a “big blow” but struck an optimistic note about his recovery.
There is more encouraging news regarding Federico Chiesa, whose absence from Liverpool’s Champions League victory in Marseille on January 21 was precautionary. The Italian forward picked up a minor injury during training on the eve of the match and was unable to take part despite attempting to prove his fitness in the warm-up. Slot played down the severity of the issue and indicated it is not expected to be long-term.

Young striker Jayden Danns remains unavailable as he continues to recover from a previous fitness problem. The teenager is not yet back in training after suffering a stress fracture, with Slot confirming earlier this month that Danns is “definitely not available in the short term.”
Liverpool are also without Alexander Isak, who is facing a lengthy recovery following ankle surgery in December. The forward fractured his fibula while scoring against Tottenham Hotspur and is expected to be sidelined for several months. Slot described the injury as a “big, big disappointment” but has expressed confidence that Isak will return to action before the end of the 2025-26 season.
Defensive youngster Giovanni Leoni is another long-term absentee. The defender tore his anterior cruciate ligament on his debut against Southampton in the Carabao Cup in September and is not expected to play again this season. Slot previously acknowledged the difficulty of the setback for the young player but highlighted his age as a key factor in his long-term recovery.
On a positive note for Liverpool, there are currently no suspension concerns, with the entire squad available from a disciplinary standpoint as Slot continues to manage a challenging injury list.
